Just being me.....it's a good life

Baseball the time honered tradition and his absoulute favorite thing to do. He's second favorite thing to do is watch his new Peter Pan DVD, over and over and......over!!! At first he was asking to watch it by saying I need to watch tinker bell. I couldn't understand waht he was saying so we kept asking him and finally we figured it out..whew cause he was getting exasperated waiting for us to fulfill his request! So Peter Pan is a huge hit and for the time being our go-to for all crisis'.

Buckaroo Bryce Rides Again

Back in the saddle again...

Well he finally got back to the horse ranch and got to ride the horses again. And true to form he did not want to get off or take turns, but alas he did it. Daddy and Grandma took him while mommy was working. Enjoy a few of the pictures of our big buckaroo!

The Cheeky boy...

He is funny, little man Bryce. he has decided to call Daddy by Erik often and it is too funny. He will raise his voice a little and call out for Erik. It looses a little in translation but I have a short video clip and you can hear it- too cute
***** UPDATE ON ERIK'S JOB SEARCH*****
Well nothing has developed as of yet. He met with Bertotti Construction and they seemed impressed with him. So we will wait to see if they call for an interview which would be great. Carlile Macy, another potential employer has put their job opening on the back burner pending a contract so they have told him they are keeping his resume and portfolio active, and will keep him updated on the position....so we hope for an interview at least at some time in the future. Erik is doing some little odds and ends around the house and also at Nana & Papa's. Thanks to everyone who is prayin for us and the job situation we really appreciate it :) Keep sending em up! Thank you!! xox Krista & Erik

ERIK'S JOB SEARCH UPDATE!

Erik has an interview tommorow with a landscaping designing co. in Santa Rosa tommorow @ 4:30 and then some time in the up coming week he will be meeting with Bertotti Landscaping. Bertotti is here in Petaluma and about 8 miles from our house, they want to set up a get to know him type of meeting so we will see what that leads to. They are a great co. and have been around for 35 yrs and that would be my pick for him but far be it from me to get in the Lord's way : ).
Sooooo....thank you all for your prayers and your continued prayer support. Please give the Lord praise for the work that he is doing and pray for Erik as he meets with these potential employers that he would be filled w/confidence in his abilities(w/God's power) etc. and that he would have peace. Pray that he would communicate cleary and impress them with his knowledge and skills and be able to recall any and all examples he may need. Praise God for his provision for us and that he is the great provider and that he has a plan for us. Please pray Erik & I would be in the center of God's will for his life and that God would give him/us assurance and comfort during this time of transition. Pray that if it is the Lord's willl that the transition between jobs would be minimal.
Thank you for joining us in our journey, we are encouraged and comforted to know so many are praying for us and we love and appreciate you all!!
We will keep the updates coming and God willing there will be few... : )
Love Krista & Erik

THIS JUST IN....

The rest of the weekend and what's in the tree?

Bryce needs to sample the corn he and daddy shucked..yummmm
Mommy, Ice cream is a breakfast food! Skate board dudes Please draw your attention to the center of the photo- it's like where's waldo...see anything? Again look closely..... Awww here is a much better shot of our tree guest! NICE!!!! Anyone got a recipe for possum stew or hash...yum. What the bleep is this possum doing in our fig tree? The real question is, is it dead or just playing possum. I have to say yikes!! I had asked Erik to get some of the ripe figs and was looking for some and well.... stumbled upon this little beauty. His tail is wrapped around the branch and he is "hanging out" I think it smells like he is deceased and flies are buzzing around too. This little critter has some nasty long nails on it's little paws....ewww...yuck. FREAKY, don't like it at all and don't like that they are in our yard.......fun, fun!

Sparks are flying...4th of July Celebration

Firecracker, Firecracker, boom, boom, boom! Bryce did not like the loud boom.
We had a really good time on the 4th. Thanks Korey, A & William for coming down!!! It would not be the same w/o ya :). The boys (Erik, Korey and Grandpa) had a great time lighting off all the fireworks and putting on a nice show for the ladies and kiddos (Krista, Alinda, Grandma, William and Bryce). It was way cool. The neighborhood was loud and plenty of illegal fireworks were going off overhead- they were very colorful.
Bryce had a great time with our personal fireworks from the sparklers (which can I say are NOT like the good ole ones...these new ones are cheesy but the kids like ummm) to the flowers to the whistling showering thingy's. When the big fireworks over at the fairgrounds started to go off he did not like the loud boom that it made (we are less then 1/2 mile from where they shoot them). He did fine and was a trooper and we all had a really good time. Grandpa was really great cleaning up as we went..Thanks Grandpa : ) and Grandma took Bryce inside when he couldn't stand the noise anymore...thanks Grandma.
Here are a few pics of the evening. Hope you all had a good one.
