Bryce hits the green

Every year North Bay Construction sponsors a golf tournament for scholarships for it's employee's and their children. For the last 5 years I have worked the tournament, they have all kinds of activities through out the course. One hole is a casino hole, another is a wine and cheese tasting hole, there is a cigar hole, a oyster hole, a hole in one hole and I think that is it. The first three years I spent at hole 9 shucking/prepping bbq'd oysters (250 the first yr, 300 the second year, 400 the third yr).
Last year they decided to have a cart/runner to get the people working the holes to the restrooms from way out on the green and pass out waters and soda to the golfers. So I got to be a runner and buzz all over course. Last year when Erik brought Bryce and I gave him a ride for a little bit he was done and wanted to go home, but this year when Erik brought him he wanted to stay and...PLAY. He kept telling me that he needs a turn and he needs to play golf mommy. It was soooooooooooooo much fun carting him around and having the wind blow in our faces and he told me I love the wind in my face mom, it's my favorite...too funny. Then he decided he was cold so we had to put a jacket on him. The weather was gorgeous and it was wonderful to spend the whole day outside. Some of the guys let him have a turn and that was the icing on the cake as it were... he was just elated and sooooooooo very proud of himself...he's a big boy playing golf with the big boys...awwww.
Bryce at last years tournament..at the wheel.

Some of the great guys golfing took time to give Bryce a turn, he could not have been happier. They were so wonderful, one guy let him sit right on his lap, let him steer to the green and the proceded to let him hit the ball a couple times... too cool.

This year...on the green and ready to play. Thanks to the foursomes that let me play. He is pretty serious...look out Tiger!

The pumpkin patch....

Saturday we took Bryce to this wonderful pumpkin patch in Wheatland!!! Love it, love it, love it. He had a blast, the weather was great and we all had a very fun day. Many years ago we had gone to a family reunion on Erik's mom's side of the family and it was held at Bishops Pumpkin Farm. We all enjoyed the day there, esp the kids but Erik and I were not parents so we enjoyed all the kids that were there. Years later our famous little Petaluma pumpkin haven (Cardoza's) went out of business and I was sooooo sad that there was nothing cool around to take Bryce to and then I remembered and so ... off to the interenet I went. Found the farm, have they made some changes, very cool, so now that Bryce is old enough and can handle a nice little drive we headed to Wheatland to explore the farm! It is definately worthe the drive and just a fun place Here are some pictures.

What I can do

I can get undressed all by myself,
I can put my sandals on, the right feet...all by myself,
I can turn on the DVD player, insert my movie and play it...all by myself,
I can make eggs, from cracking the eggs into the bowl to whipping them up...all by myself,
I can pour water from my water bottle into my cup w/o spilling and then pour it back into that little bitty hole...all by myself,
I can brush my teeth... all by myself,
I can read you a story..all by myself,
I can change my poopy diaper, well I can get my diaper off w/o spilling the contents and bring it to you like a present (which you will love)...all by myself,
I can turn the light on in anyroom with the help of my trusty stepping stool( thanks Leroy)...all by myself,
I can put my shoes on the right feet and strap up the velcro and head out back...all by myself, (no more telling him he can't go outside w/o shoes on to slow him down..dang)
I can turn the water hose off and on and spray you...all by myself,
I can get my yogurt out of the fridge, take of the lid and have a nice little snack...all by myself,
I can go from delightful to frantic in 2 seconds...all by myself,
I can hit the ball...all by myself,
I can be very demanding...all by myself...
I can say the sweetest things...all by myself,
I can fix all kinds of stuff...all by myself,
I can sweep the porch, back deck, pretty much anything that can be reached w/a broom...all by myself,
I am, much to mommy and daddy's dismay, becoming a big boy, independent and self sufficient, but not by myself.
I can get into alot of mischief....all by myself, just ask my mommy :)

Too hot to post...

It's been hot, but the real reason is Bryce and Daddy have been feeling icky so we've been laying low. I got a few shots over the past couple of days and... I am happy to report it is cool this evening and the boys are feeling better. Bryce is still sounding congested which is cute but ya feel bad for him. In fact today was a gorgeous day..dare I say perfect! Here's a few shots of not so little man :), we took him to the park late yesterday evening- it was cool enough and just a perfect for the park. The last two pictures are my personal favorites..what a little character! Hope everyone had a great weekend and have a great week! Love we 3!!

Ugggg..back to work.....

Well all fun must come to an end... I guess. Anyway it was back to work for me today, bittersweet. Bryce actually acknowledged thatg I was leaving this a.m. which is unusual, most times he seems to be unaware that I am leaving, such is the life of a two year old. Today daddy actually had to distract him as he was fusing and crying for mommy to stay, "just leave the door open and stay here mommy", very sweet. Yesterday we had a great afternoon hanging out w/Erik's family~ we had lots of good viddles and plenty of entertainment. From Alissia and Alex's dogs- Dudley and Buster, to Big Boy Batter Bryce there was plenty of activity. Bryce had a blast showing everyone his proud swing and awesome hitting abilities and I am not exagerating. This kid can rope that ball, not from a baseball tee, but from his daddy lob pitching it. It is very cool to watch and he is proud and excited with his little self :) . Here are some pictures from yesterday's BBQ! Love to you all.

Grandma push me plzzzzzzzzzzz, higher, higher...sanks...aka thanks :)

Presenting.......Dudley...the newest edition to the Pope family!

Bryce and Great Grandma- Nana (she hadn't seen him in a week, so she was showering him w/lots of love

Always on the go the lil squirt.

The boys found some deer in the neighboring lot so that was cool. That's what everyone is looking at.
