BRYCE'S AIRSHOW!!!

It is a beautiful, clear, sunny morning and perfect for flying so mommy insisted we go take a trip across town to see the airplanes. So we started the weekend/morning off with a trip to the Petaluma Airport for Bryce to see some of the planes taking off etc. Little did we know what was in store.

Let's go mommy, I'm ready...waitin on you! Where's daddy?

When we pulled up there was a gentleman cleaining and spit shining his plane right next to the parking lot wall so we were totally stoked about that. We were excited that Bryce would not just see them from way off in the distance landing and taking off but closer up and see the propeller etc. We were perfectly content- Bryce was sitting on the cinderblock wall and daddy was holding him and mommy, well mommy was of course.... taking pictures-behind the camera as usual..lol. We were all just basking in the glorious weather and the great scenery. The hills behind the airport are brown, but the golf course green in the not so far off distance is teeming with green grassy knowls and lots of golf carts buzzing about. And the sound of plane engines fills the air! A small jet lands and it is LOUD, but way cool. We think that this jet sighting is the highlight of our morning.

Mommy was taking pictues of Bryce and sees a small plane taxing by so she snaps off a shot and the pilot sees the fam and sends out a wave.

Is this the cutest lil plane or what? It's a small plane- the picture doesn't really catch the scale of it but it is a small one. And then the highlight of the weekend came. We were just watching all the planes and this pilot came walking over to us and said.." I see you've got your future pilot and camera with you, I'll pull my plane up over here and he can sit in it and check it all out and you can take some pictures". SERIOUSLY??? How totally awesome, cool is that? Mommy was giddy with excitement for Bryce- how cool and what a great memory for him. And so... Bryce's new bestest friend, Pete, pulled his great plane over let him sit in the cockpit and touch EVERYTHING! What a guy!! We love you Pete... THANK YOU!!!!

A great big handshake and a promise to look for him at the upcoming Wings over Wine Airshow in a few weeks left us all excited and filled with joy. That was the most thoughtful thing a strange has done in a long time and it just fills your heart! And it took so little! God is sooo good to us and our special lil' guy!

Apparently flying is exhausting.. he didn't even make it in to the house..he's tuckered out. Of course he refuses to go down for a nap!!!!!!!

Now how do we top that?
