Pre-Easter Egg Practice Hunt!!

Ah, today is the practice for tommorow. How lucky is Bryce two days of egg hunting! Should be fun...pictures and commentary later...
Cousin William, Auntie Alinda and Cuz Karlee... hangin out in the great outdoors.

The hunt is on..

Bryce and William hunting for the hidden treasures

Bryce and William chasing bubbles what a blast!!

Bryce LOVES Bubbles..thank you mommy!
Pleeezzzzz daddy let me get it... I do it!! My turn.

So we had the egg hunt, mommy daddy, uncle Korey, Auntie Alinda, Karlee and PJ hid the eggs and William and Bryce had a ball hunting for them. It was too fun. We took video and that was fun along with plenty of pictures. Bryce figured out there was candy in the plastic eggs and was opening them, eating them then putting the eggs back :) Too funny. We all had a great time and the weather was wonderful too.

After all the hunting and playing we were hungry and sat down to a yummy ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, garlic bread, rolls and coconut cream pie.. you missed it Dad!! Sorry.

And... at the end of the day the two buddies relaxed.

Of course William had to make a funny face...silly boy!

And then we relaxed and...

The sweetest moment was William reading Bryce his beadtime story.

William is quite an accomplished reader and did a great job.. Bryce loved it!

The trailer is occupied for the night with the Plubell clan...Korey, Alinda, William, PJ and Karlee.. and in the morning we will all venture out to church. We are winding down the evening with the Bee Movie...which is great!! See you tommorow for more Easter sharing!

A Day to Remember ...

What a beautiful day... it's hard to imagine that the sky turned black and God turned his back on his own son today as we prepare to celebrate the season with our one and only son. It is both a time of joy and reflection as we ponder why someone would want to die for me/us. It is so humbling to think I am worth one Jesus..almost too much to take in.
This Friday kicks off a busy weekend for us. Friday night Erik's mom, dad, and brother are coming over for dinner and egg coloring. Then Saturday Krista's brother, Korey and his family are coming down for dinner, a little egg hunt for Bryce, dinner a sleepover and church on Sunday. Then Sunday after church we will come home for a nap for Bryce and then go over to great grandparents- Nana and Papa's for a Easter egg hunt and some yummy dessert.

Grandpa, Uncle Bucky, Grandma, Daddy,Bryce and Mommy coloring eggs

Hmmm this is interesting...

Daddy are you sure that I can't break the egg first?

And this expression about sums it up...he was well let's just say "cranky" most of the evening.

We had a great time just the same. Bryce took a nap from 4:45- 7:10, so we all had dinner while he slept. When he finally woke up he was full of it and wanted nothing to do with anything or anyone. We had a fun time coloring the eggs, and once Bryce saw that it could be fun he joined in. He of course wanted to put all the eggs in one cup.

At one point Bryce dropped an egg and it cracked so we decided to peel it so Bryce would see what the inside looked like. I was playing with him with the egg like it was talking to him, saying Hi Bryce, I'm Mr. Egg, how are you? Anyway when he reached over to touch the egg uncle bucky said "ouch" and Bryce thought it was the egg...it was pretty funny, not really so much for Bryce but we all got a good giggle out of it :) When we were done coloring eggs, Bryce decided he wanted to watch his dalmation movie, so we put his jammies, then he decided he wanted to play a bit. So uncle bucky and daddy played ball with him, he was wacking the ball around...that was fun but of course if a little play is fun why not play more? So Bryce decided he, daddy and uncle bucky would play football. It was pretty funny and Grandma, grandpa watched while mommy video taped the fun-there was lots of laughter and it was a good evening. Finally his little batteries ran out and he settled down to watch his dalmation movie and go to sleep..whewwwwwwww what an evening.

Is it Good Friday yet? Don't know that there's a bad one :)

We made a mad dash to Costco to beat the Easter rush and get a few needed goodies. I of course found something (this totally cool airplane teeter toter)I don't think Bryce should live w/o. His dad disagreed...imagine that :) It is still under debate... Anyway we got Eggs (and lots of other stuff) and we will be doing the "dye job" tommorow w/grandma and uncle Bucky and maybe grandpa dale will join the fun. Bryce is a trooper and gets better and better each trip. This time he managed to stay in the cart-seated the entire time!~ For those who know how busy Bryce is you know this is a huge accomplishment for him..he's growing up. hmmmmmmmmm don't know if I'm entirely ready for that, but I really don't have a choice now do I? LOL!!! We bought a box of tootsie pops and he managed to gnash on that most of the way home in the car. At one point I looked back at him and he was passing it between his hands and rubbing it on his chin...yikes what a sticky mess. Then he wanted to lay the pop to rest next to his leg in his car seat..I don't think so!! So after I confiscated the pop as it were he went on to slap his hands together and took absolute delight in his new found stiky hands.... I couldn't help but giggle after all it's all washable, him the clothes, his car seat cover...whatever he was having a ball! Once he was done he asked for a wipe and that was that! He watched his dalmation movie and read a few books and then.... off to dreamland! He has slept thru last 3 nights which is HUGE for mommy! I am amazed at how I feel, I haven't slept thru the night, but just knowing that he has has lifted this weight off of me.. I don't know how else to describe it. I will just keep praying for the full nights sleep!!! Well chores call me so off I go for now.... see you tommorow :)

A View Like No Other from the Golden Gate Bridge

My coworkers hubby works for GG and took one of our guys up to the top... these pictures are amazing. Click on the image and it enlarges and is a much better view,detail...real cool. I know it doesn't have to do w/Bryce but it kinda does, he is lucky to live so very close to the GG and be born in SF. :) Perhaps later today we'll get a Bryce sighting! Sadly when I picked him up from Nana's today he was asleep and slept thru til 6:40 woke up for awhile and then he wanted to watch his dinosaur movie- the land before time, then into jammies and off to nite nite. He must be in a growth spurt or not feeling so hot. Anyway he is really progressing with his little manners, that is so sweet. He tells you thank you and it just melts ya cause his sweet little voice and he will say thank you mommy or thank you daddy...so cute. Ok well that's it for today...until next time hugs and kisses to you all.

First Trip to the Beach..Brrr, windy, cold and...wet!!

A DAY AT THE BEACH...
We took the opportunity to take Bryce to the Bodega Bay for the first time a couple weekends (2-29-08) ago and he loved it. He lost his balance when the tide went out and fell on his back the first time and ended the trip with a face plant into the water. It was funny and he was a very good sport! You forget that for little people that tide pull takes the sand out from under their little feet causing instability... we will take him back soon he really enjoyed himself and we enjoyed watching him. He of course wanted to "concur the massive ocean", and kept saying go out there..water. Yeah he's fearless!
Mommy and Bryce Storm the Beach....

Mommy.. you said "Never turn your back on the ocean..what gives?" Ohhhh photo op...ok!! Come on Daddy it's not that far.. just a little bit closer pleassssssse? This is a case of Daddy holding me back...I promise I won't run...yeah right! Run Mommy run...watch me run. Watch Bryce run..run from water mommy. Wow, cold, wet and... salty. The grand finale~no tears is a good thing : ) And what trip to the coast is complete without salt water taffy I ask you? So of course he got his first taste of salt water and salt water taffy in the same day! It goes without saying he prefered the later :)

Grandpa Dale's 60th B-Day Celebration 2-21-08
